1. Our commitment
Digital Adventures is committed to ensuring that https://digitaladventures.com.au (the "Services") is accessible to everyone, including people with disability. We believe good design serves everyone, and accessibility is a baseline requirement for good design.
This commitment is consistent with our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic), which together require that goods, services, and facilities made available to the public be accessible to people with disability.
We are actively working to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by the Australian Government Digital Service Standard and is widely adopted as the baseline expectation for Australian websites.
2. Conformance status
The Services are designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Our current conformance status is: Partially conforms, choose one of the following before publishing:
- Fully conforms, the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
- Partially conforms, some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
- Does not conform, the content does not yet conform to the accessibility standard.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We re-audit the Services regularly and update this statement when our conformance status changes.
3. Measures we take
To support accessibility, we:
- Include accessibility in our design system, colour contrasts meet AA contrast ratios, focus rings are visible, typography has a minimum 16px body size.
- Build semantic HTML first, meaningful headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels.
- Test with keyboard navigation on every interactive component.
- Provide alternative text for all meaningful images, and empty
altattributes for decorative ones. - Ensure all interactive elements have visible focus states.
- Respect user preferences for reduced motion (
prefers-reduced-motion: reduce). - Ensure forms have associated labels and clear error messages.
- Test with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android).
- Avoid relying on colour alone to convey information.
- Support zoom to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
4. Assessment approach
We assess accessibility through a combination of:
- Automated testing with tools such as axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and WAVE.
- Manual testing by our designers and developers, including keyboard-only and screen-reader walkthroughs of critical user journeys.
- Periodic third-party accessibility audits on major releases.
- Feedback from users (see Section 7).
5. Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The Services are designed to be compatible with:
- Browsers (current and previous two versions): Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
- Screen readers: VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack
- Mobile: iOS and Android current versions
The Services are not designed to work with browsers older than the versions listed above. If you use an older browser, some accessibility features may not work as intended.
6. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content or components may not yet meet our accessibility targets. We are actively working to resolve these.
Currently known issues:
- TBA
[ISSUE_1], TBA[DESCRIPTION], expected resolution: TBA[DATE] - TBA
[ISSUE_2], TBA[DESCRIPTION], expected resolution: TBA[DATE]
Update this list after each audit. If there are no known issues, state: "We are not currently aware of any accessibility issues. If you encounter one, please let us know using the details in Section 7."
